Dr. Patrick B. Curran joins us from the Indiana University College of Optometry after graduating in 2008. He graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1999 and attended Augusta State University, where he played on the Men's Basketball team. He attended the NCAA Leadership Conference and was on the Peach Belt Conference Athletic Honor Roll. He was also a member of the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society. He graduated from Augusta State with his B.S. in Biology

While at IU, Dr. Curran presented lectures on Fuch's Endothelial Dystrophy, Band Keratopathy and Essential Iris Atrophy. Dr. Curran's clinical experiences included vision therapy and specialized pediatric care. He also co-managed vision screenings for the varsity athletes at Indiana University.

Dr. Curran is currently practicing with Drs. Newman, Blackstock, and Associates Optometrists P.C. He practices General Optometry with an emphasis on disease treatment and diagnosis, contact lenses, dry eye disease, routine vision care services and glasses. Dr. Curran is assisting the Virginia Tech and Radford University Athletic Departments by providing vision screenings and eye care services.

Dr. Curran is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the College of Optometrists for Vision Development.
